The process used to create these jewels is the lost wax technique.
Lost-wax casting is an ancient sculptural technique used since the Bronze Age.
This method exploits the property of wax to melt and vaporize at high temperatures.
The process is divided into six main phases: the creation of the clay model, the formation of the plaster cast, the modelling of the wax model, the creation of the mould, the casting of the bronze and finally the finishing of the sculpture.
During the casting process, the wax is lost, leaving room for the metal to take its place in the plaster cast to create a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.
