Description

STATUE OF SAINT DOMINIC.

The statue depicts Saint Dominic wearing the traditional Dominican habit, consisting of a white tunic and a black cloak;
he has a halo and in his right hand he holds a basilica.
The base is square and bears the inscription “S. Domenico”.
The statue is made by master craftsmen, entirely of Italian production.
Saint Dominic de Guzmán was a Spanish priest, founder of the Order of Preachers, proclaimed a saint in 1234.

Saint Dominic is known for his austere life dedicated to prayer, charity and preaching.
He is considered a model of Christian virtue and dedication to the service of God and others.
