Saint Michael the Archangel is an archangel in the traditions of the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches, and in the Anglican and Lutheran faiths he is called “Saint Michael the Archangel” (the Archangel par excellence), or more briefly “Saint Michael”.
In the tradition of the Eastern Orthodox and Orthodox Churches, he is called “Taxiarch Archangel Michael”, or more briefly “Archangel Michael”
