Description
Pellegrino wine for the Holy Mass is a sacramental fortified wine produced by the Pellegrino cellars of Marsala, in the province of Trapani, Sicily.
This wine strictly follows the principle “ex genmine vitis” and the grapes are subjected to periodic checks by the Curia.
The red wine, obtained from Nero d'Avola grapes and aged for months in oak barrels before being refined for two months in the bottle, has a fruity aroma and a delicate taste, and is available in packs of 6 1-litre bottles.
The wine for the Holy Mass is produced according to the dictates of Canon Law which in Chapter 1, Art. 3, Canon 924 states: “The wine must be natural, from the fruit of the vine and not altered”.
