Chalice entirely made and hand-chiseled in silver.
The chalice has always had a prominent place in sacred art, and the quality and durability of its materials have been its distinctive features.
Master goldsmiths have characterised this work with a floral motif chisel that recalls acanthus leaves, a votive ornament that has also been recurring in architecture since the 5th century BC.
The cup is covered in thick gold to ensure its durability over time.
