Incense charcoals are compressed powdered charcoal tablets. They are used to burn aromatic resins such as frankincense and myrrh. To use them, light the charcoal with a match or lighter and place it in a censer, incense burner, metal bowl or heat-resistant ashtray. It is advisable to isolate the charcoal from the surface on which it is placed.
