Description

The Crucifix of San Damiano was moved by the Poor Clares to the Protomonastery of Santa Chiara in Assisi, where it can still be admired today, when they moved from the church of San Damiano in 1257. It is the crucifix before which Saint Francis prayed in 1205, receiving the call to work for the Church of the Lord.
