Hand-finished icon on wood depicting the Assumption of Mary. It represents “the Annunciation“: the Archangel Gabriel and the Virgin Mary receiving the divine message.

The divine figure above, with outstretched arms, represents God the Father, and the light and clouds around him symbolize the divine presence and the heavens. The figures' robes, in bright colors such as red, blue, yellow, and green, are typical of iconographic art and have symbolic meanings.
