This handcrafted terracotta sculpture, made entirely by hand, represents a rare image of the Madonna della Colomba.

Piero di Cosimo, in a work from 1490, already portrayed the Virgin with the Child and a dove.

With her head bowed as in the Madonnas of Humility, the Baby Jesus blessing and the dove in her palm, the iconography uses the dove as a symbol of the Spirit of God. This work, rich in symbolism, is unique.

A masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship with meticulous details, small roses and engraved citrus fruits decorating the clothes.
