STATUE OF SAINT TERESA.
The statue represents Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, also known as Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus.
Saint Teresa wears a brown tunic, a white cloak and a black veil on her head.
In his arms he holds a crucifix resting on his chest, a symbol of his devotion to Christ, and a bouquet of roses,
which represent her famous promise to “rain roses from heaven” as a sign of her intercession.
Teresa was canonized in 1925 by Pope Pius XI, and in 1997 Pope John Paul II proclaimed her a Doctor of the Church, recognizing the depth of her spiritual teachings.
Saint Teresa is loved and venerated for her simplicity, her deep faith, and her ability to inspire others to find holiness in the little things of everyday life.
His feast day is celebrated on October 1st, and he continues to be a figure of great inspiration for the faithful throughout the world.
