This suffering Christ in classical representation takes inspiration from the iconographic references of the sculptures of Fra Umile da Petralia.

For the decoration, stucco and oil paints were used to reproduce the signs of the flagellation.

This work has a unique artistic value, the moving expressiveness of the sculpture and the obsessive attention to the decoration of the muscles and the drapes trigger unique suggestions.
