The statue represents Our Lady of Medjugorje, an artistic representation often associated with the alleged Marian apparitions in Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The statue is painted with soft, realistic colors, with great attention to detail.
Resin sculpture made and hand-painted by Neapolitan master sculptors in Italy.
The apparitions of Medjugorje are visions of the Virgin that six visionaries report receiving starting on June 24, 1981.
These visions are said to have begun in Medjugorje when the village belonged to the Republic of Yugoslavia and are said to continue among the visionaries to this day.

Our Lady of Medjugorje is often associated with messages of peace, conversion, and prayer.
