STATUE MADONNA OF CARMEL.

The statue depicted in the image represents Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
The figure of the Virgin Mary is standing, wearing a long brown dress with a white cloak.
He wears a golden crown on his head.
The baby Jesus is held in the Madonna's left arm and wears a pink tunic.
He too wears a golden crown.
Our Lady holds two scapulars, which are small rectangular pieces of cloth hanging from golden chains.
The statue is placed on a black base which gives it stability and prominence.

This representation of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is symbolic of the protection and intercession of the Virgin Mary, and is particularly venerated in the Carmelite Catholic tradition.
