Contemporary Department, chasuble (and miter) for the Holy Father John Paul II on the occasion of the Celebration of the 20th anniversary of Pontificate (October 16, 1978) and XL of Episcopate (September 28, 1958). Viscose silk and lurex jacquard from the Soieries TBM of Saint-Symphorien-de-Lay, Lyon and pure silk shantung. Gemstone with 2795 elements: 1503 semi-precious stones of which; Morion quartz, 2 mm. 8 diameter beads, 627 mm. 6 diameter beads and 783 mm. 4 diameter beads; Rock crystal, 87 mm. 6 diameter beads and 4 mm. 4 diameter beads. 694 aurate spherules of which 194 large, 486 medium, 12 small and 2 fesonate. 598 faceted aurate beads. 7 agrimans.
The Chasuble was commissioned by the Office of Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff and donated by the Diocese of Rome to His Bishop. After the celebration of the double pontifical and episcopal jubilee, the Holy Father arranged for the vestment to be destined for His Cathedral, the Lateran Archbasilica. In anticipation of liturgical use in St. John's, the anchoring fimbules were added, the jeweled aurifrey was made for the neck, and two gilded silver epigraphs were placed on the verso of the stole to commemorate the Event.

Mitre in the form of a Grand Renaissance for the visit to the Shrines of San Giovanni Rotondo by the Holy Father Benedict XVI, second specimen for the use of the Papal Sacristy. Brocade embroidery on pure silk damask with five different gold threads, lining in pure ivory silk duchesse, double-registered fringe in canuttiglia and gold twists, eighteen faceted mother-of-pearl ovals and thirty-six aurate spherules.
